Matt has been a Fire Captain with the Arlington County Fire Department for 29 years. He currently works in the Rosslyn section of the County and has served in numerous operations and administrative positions over his tenure to include his operational role on September 11, 2001, at the Pentagon.  Matt started his Jiu Jitsu journey in 2019 after reading and listening to books and podcasts by Jock Willink (former Navy Seal Commander). Matt and his twin sons started their Jiu Jitsu journey together, which has become a family staple.  Matt assists in instruction with youth classes and Intro to Jiu Jitsu classes.
